Stephanie Just

stephanie@riseup.net

Violin, Viola, Cello, Guitar, Piano
A recent transplant to Little Rock, Stephanie is a native of Atlanta, GA, where she taught private Suzuki and traditional music lessons for fifteen years. She played with a number of ensembles including the GA Philharmonic, Da Salo Solisti, and several rock, jazz, and blues bands. With a Master of Arts in Teaching and Suzuki Teacher Training, Stephanie specializes in fun and joyful lessons that cultivate musicianship that leads students to take ownership of their instruments and to make the music they want to make. Stephanie emphasizes theory, posture, and beauty of tone leading toward personal empowerment as well as musical ability. Depending on the learning style of the individual, Stephanie may choose different teaching approaches ranging from strict Suzuki style to standard note reading practices. She believes that learning to play music is about the whole person and that the world is improved and the individual child or adult is more fully expressed as a human being with music training.
