Emile Dupree Bass Bow
French model bass bow branded EMILE DUPREE and FRANCE. Sold by the Metropolitan Music Company beginning in the 1930s, the German bows were sold in various levels of quality. This bow, probably made c.1950 in the workshop of Lothar Seifert in Bubenreuth, Gerrmany, is a better quality Dupree bow, featuring a high quality octagonal pernambuco stick with a nickel mounted frog featuring Parisian eyes and a lined Abalone slide. The bow is in excellent playing condition and was used by a professional musician for over 50 years.
