Violin labeled "Edwin Paulus, Markneukirchen, Sachsen." The Paulus workshop was one of the most productive manufacturers of hand made intermediate to advanced level instruments in Markneukirchen, Germany prior to World War I. This Stradivari model violin is one of the workshop's higher level instruments, featuring a beautiful two piece, deeply flamed back with a tastefully antiqued finish. The instrument is in excellent condition with no cracks or other major repairs. Length of Back: 359mm
